Chemtrails and Population Control

This might come as a surprise to some of you but I was not always the magnificent stallion that I am today. Back in my teenage years, I have to admit I was a little on the dorky side and at the peek of my award years, the photo below was taken.

This was me at 17-years-old, hungover as hell, and on my way to work at Teesside Park’s Pizza Hut. As well as now looking very different, over the past 14 years, I have grown as a person through the experiences I have had, the people I have met, and the ideas I have been exposed to. To put it simply I am not the same person I was when I was 17. I have different beliefs and general outlook on life and shudder, as I am sure many of you do when you think back to the things you said and done in your teenage years. The same goes for my good friend Michael who is also deeply embarrassed by this photo as at the time he was rocking a bowl-cut. The reason I bring this all up is that the guy who I am about to talk about in this blog is still very young and still growing and trying to figure out who he is. With that in mind, I would like you to cut him a little slack.

The person in question I met in London whilst he was attending a protest called the Global March Against Chemtrail and Geoengineering. This protest is against the long-lasting white clouds left in the sky by aircraft by people who believe that they are actually chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed on the population for nefarious reasons. I was in attendance that day because was I wanted to find out more about the conspiracy and the people who believed in it. As I was working my way through the crowd I saw this young gentleman holding a cardboard sign saying “stop geoengineering” made out of print-outs of contrails pictures. Within seconds of talking to him, I was reminded of my nerdy teenage self and, for some time, was seriously considering not publishing the interview but out of all the people I met there that day what he had to say was the most interesting. In the very short time I talked to him there was a whole load of crazy that I am going to address later, but for now, I am going to concentrate on the parts centered around depopulation.

When I asked this young gentleman why would people want to spray chemicals on the unknowing population below, he answered with “depopulation” which is something you hear a lot online from people who believe in this conspiracy. The simple and obvious flaw in this theory is that if chemtrails were real and their specific purpose was to depopulate the planet, then they are doing a SHIT job at it. The global human population growth at the moment is at an unprecedented rate as the population increases by 75 million people per year. To put some kind of context on that number, the population of the UK is only 65.2 million. This number in the near future is only going to go up with people predicting that our population will go from 7.4 billion here in 2016 to over 9.6 billion by mid-2050. As you can imagine, on a planet with finite resources, it is unsustainable of us to keep multiplying in numbers at our current rate. Naturally, people are worried about the future of mankind if we continue this way which nicely brings us onto Agenda 21 – something which this young fellow says is calling for 95% of the population of Earth to be exterminated.

Agenda 21 is a 24-year-old non-binding, unenforceable, voluntary action plan by the United Nations on how to achieve a sustainable way of living. There is no mention of culling 95% of the earth population or any population control by death by 2030. Instead, you are treated to 300 pages of ideas on how to improve urban planning, the efficiency of land and resources, combatting poverty, and reducing the human footprint on the environment. I searched high and low to find anything on the United Nations website that would hint at forcibly decreasing the population of the planet and found nothing!

I did, however, find a lot of conspiracy websites that referenced a website called ‘Survive Agenda 21 Depopulation’. This website offers no evidence and simply states that 95% of the population will be eradicated. How will this be accomplished I hear you ask? By the military or police forcibly injecting people with vaccines that will result in “neurological brain damage” followed by a “slow death”. Looking past why anyone would publish their evil plans for everyone to read if this were true then it is vaccines and not chemtrails that will be used for the mass genocide of over 7 billion people. Unbelievably my young friend switches from chemtrails being used as a way of depopulating the planet to vaccinations without batting an eyelid whilst I was talking to him.

He states that Bill Gates, at a conference, told an audience of thousands that  “If we do a good enough job with the vaccines, we can kill enough people” to which everyone in attendance began to applaud. Once again, I believe I have tracked down the source of this claim and this time it comes from a TED speech Bill gave back in 2010.

In his speech, Bill talks about how vaccines can help reduce the worlds population which many people, including this young chap at the protest, believe means that vaccines kill people. In reality, vaccines have been shown time and time again to be safe and have saved countless people. But if they are saving peoples lives then they should be increasing the world population right?….no!

Contrary to popular belief, increasing the survival rate of a child alongside reproductive health care actually results in a slower population growth, thereby making a stable and lower total world population. This is thought to have happened because infant survival reduces the parents’ demand for children and also decreases fertility allowing the parent to devote more attention and resources to their children. 

There are, of course, other factors which help decrease the birth rates within a population like female education, family planning, economic development, and quality of life. This in itself may become a problem for developed countries whose birth rates have dropped below the number to stabilise their population.

Even though this young whipper-snapper said some, frankly, ridiculous things that I am sure you are all rolling your eyes at, I would like you to remember what you were like when you were his age and cut him that slack I asked for. In all likelihood he has not yet developed the skills of telling what is and is not bullshit, and in a few years time will look back and cringe – as both myself and my friend Michael do when we think of what we were like when we were 17. Thank god for us, we both grew out of our nerdy ways and developed into mature adults!
