Prince Charles is a threat to the health of the nation

Whilst is easy to dismiss Prince Charles as a lingering relic of an archaic hierarchical class structure with no real clout other than being a talking head for people who fear a technology they don’t understand, the truth is that for decades he has exploited his privileged position to attempt to influence Government policy and nowhere is this more apparent than his promotion of alternative medicine within the NHS.

He believes in homeopathy because his parents did. And the NHS used to prescribe it, from before he was born. It no longer does. You’re blaming the wrong person at the wrong time.

  My parents believe in god. Their parents believe in god. I do not. Just because you were raised with the wrong ideas, believing nonsense, does not mean you cannot grow to realize the issues with that belief. The refusal to change your ideas with the presentation of evidence means that you are to blame.

  I was raised on homeopathic and other quackery as well, yet I’ve turned my back against it as well; to continue with it is a choice.
  Not only does he continue, he abuses his position to promote it and ruins people’s careers to get his way.
  It’s one thing to personally waste your money on such nonsense, it’s another to a use your power to make a whole country pay for such nonsense, give credibility to it which turns people away from real live saving medicine, and ruin careers in the process.
