Debunking the AIDS Denialist Movie House of Numbers – FULL VIDEO

January 6, 2019 // 1 Comment

In 2009 Canadian-born director and producer, Brent Leung, released the film ‘House of Numbers’. The documentary consists of interviews with scientists and AIDS denialists discussing the link between HIV and AIDS, the severity of AIDS in South Africa and, unbelievably, whether or not HIV exists at all. Brent claims that the documentary gives an “objective examination of the idea the HIV causes AIDS” but nothing could be further from the truth in this sneakily edited piece of propaganda. [...]

AIDS Denialism………Yep That’s a Thing (Australian Skeptics National Convention 2015)

November 13, 2015 // 0 Comments

In the early days of the AIDS epidemic many bizarre and dangerous ideas were advanced regarding the origin of the disease and its cause. Since the discovery of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) these conspiracy theories, which once filled the void left by the lack of information, have all but vanished. Over the past three decades HIV has been the subject of intense scientific research which has resulted in effective treatments, rapid HIV tests, and promising cures. Yet unbelievably there [...]

My talk on AIDS Denialism at QED 2015

April 28, 2015 // 2 Comments

SkeptiCamp was a one-day conference that celebrates the fantastic work done by grass roots skeptics and activists the day before QED starts. This year, the conference adopted the Ignite presentation model of “lightning talks” where presentations were capped at ten minutes and each slide in your presentation was set to automatically advance after 20 seconds. I gave an introduction to AIDS Denialism and why more attention needs to be brought to it. Support Myles through Patreon [...]

#072 – Conversation with the Author of an AIDs Denialist Book

April 12, 2015 // 2 Comments

Myles and James sat down with Steven Ransom, author of the AIDs denying book ‘The Truth about HIV”. We explored Steven’s opinions about the existence of the Virus that is the causative agent of AIDs. Steven’s position is that the virus doesn’t exist, even when confronted by evidence. Steven is a sign of failure in the ability of scientist to tell people exactly how and why they work. An example of one such failure that has the potential to lead to the unnecessary [...]

9GAG and the AIDS Cure

July 5, 2014 // 0 Comments

9GAG recently posted an image on their Facebook page that referenced a patent for an AIDS cure. I could go into detail about how this AIDS cure is bullshit, and how the 105,047 people who liked this post are idiots but I am far too lazy. Instead I simply ran my own google searches to find patents that show how ridiculous these people [...]

A letter from a former AIDS denialist

May 6, 2014 // 13 Comments

In my videos and articles critical of the AIDS denialist movie ‘House of Numbers’ I have always said that there is no doubt in my mind that the documentary will be responsible for a lot of pain and suffering in the world. Although I have been publishing work on the subject for over a year I have only just received my first email backing up what I already thought.  This letter shows incredible bravery and I wish this chap all the best in his future. . Myles, I just watched every [...]

Anti-retroviral Medication

I have watched a lot of scientifically inaccurate documents in my time, and I have noticed that they all have one thing in common when it comes to trying to convince the viewer of the most ridiculous things. Rather than explaining their theories slowly and in-depth, they instead try and throw as much crap as they can at the screen in the hopes that you won’t see the holes in their arguments. These parts of the documentaries are also prime for quote mines, and often lack vital information [...]
