Earlier this year Hank Green released a video called The Science of Genetically Modified Food’. The video was not a fair representation of the scientific community and cast all genetically modified organism in a negative light. As a funny story, i actually only ever found your work because i’d noticed that particular scishow episode rehosted on somebody elses channel and went to search for the reason as to why it didn’t appear on the scishow one. so some good out of bad considering my love of the work you do.
Although i’m more likely to lean towards human fallibility as opposed to intentional misinformation in this case (you know as well as anyone how drowned this topic is in scare mongering to make real work difficult to filter out for many people) It sounds like you have more to add to the topic considering your vehemence. I agree that a replacement video in way of making up for the spread of misinformation it has caused.
I do find it a little irksome regardless of the message that you guys felt the need to imply any criticism directed towards this video will be the result of blind fanboyism. I know you all cop a bit of flack but to attempt to make yourself unassailable like that is akin to people lobbying for censorship calling their opponents pedophiles.
